Back at it after finishing a backyard DIY to expand our patio and fire pit area – more on that in the next post and it looks amazing! I’m super proud of my son who helped so much, even in the rain and wearing a poncho!

Honey + Goat’s Milk
This is my fourth batch of soap, which doesn’t sound like much but I’ve learned a lot, including that I love doing this. I also really enjoy making these candles. I have quite a few candle types and scents now.

It’s all handmade, including the blend of soap, scents, colors, homegrown lavender, and even the labels. I enjoy that every aspect is a creative process and a design decision. Talk about endless possibilities, and so much fun! I may begin selling these, but for me it isn’t about the sale, that is just a plus if I decide to do it. (And I don’t look forward to managing a small business, I already work full time, in a complex and demanding job, and have a family. I guess technically though, maybe it’s already started with a few neighborhood orders coming in – EEEEK!)

Truly, it’s about a love of creating and just another way to do it.
About the soap, it’s a blend of honey and goats milk and the scent is my favorite mix – a Peony Botanical Blend, including lavender and jasmine. These candles are a Eucalyptus + Mint and a Peony Botanical Blend. I’ve also created a dried flower bath salt blend with essential oils.
Now today, on to the garden! More creating and growing – literally! I have some heirloom tomatoes that are going in. Can’t wait for tomato season.
